A brilliant book for the everyday rider wanting the best out of their horse. Loch creates such an atmosphere whilst reading that you feel you are actually in a lesson with her! It's such a good book, u pick up on things so quickly and your horse becomes so much happier for it!!! Learn how to work around your horse, how to work them without people noticing. Work out how to get the best out of your horses......and lots lots more.
Truly the best book horse riders will ever own, probably the most useful too!!!

This is a well written book, I found I didn't want to put it down. Sylvia Loch tells the story of how she got involved with horses and the influences in her life that started her on the path of Classical Equitation.

She includes a fascinating history of the Classical techniques and the masters past and present that have made the sport what it is today.

There are clear illustrations and strong visualisation techniques to assist readers with basic understanding of what the Classical system is trying to achieve.

This book is a definite must for anyone that wishes to improve their riding and understanding of the horse, and a definite gift to our patient equine partners!

For the advanced student of dressage, as well as the beginner or/and the High School Scholar, this deeply researched instructional book with technical depth, this volume concentrates much on the physiology and psychology of the horse and includes cross-country, pleasure riding, hunting, jumping. The information is clear and to the point, like receiving a riding lesson, face-to-face with the author.
