4.0 out of 5 stars A great book about Lamborghini's V8, mid-engined cars., 13 Oct 2001
By A Customer
This is a great book for all true Lamborghini enthusiasts. It gives lots of detail and photos of the 'baby bulls' produced in the 1970s and 80s.

As the book relates, these V8 engined Lambos were intended to take Lamborghini into higher volume car production but reliability problems with the early 2.5 litre engine and delays at the factory meant that the Urraco was slow to take off. Eventually the 3 litre P300 was produced which was a great little car.

The book goes on to tell the story of the other models which were developed from the Urraco, the Bravo, Silhouette, Athon and Jalpa including the famous Urraco 'Bob' which was Bob Wallace's pet projct.

The book is well written in an easily readable style by Jean-Francois Marchet, who has also written books about other Lamborghinis. There is a multitude of photos, barely a page doesn't have a picture, most of which are pretty good quality. There are eight pages of colour photos in the middle of the book which are fabulous and show the cars in all their glory.
