5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST POSSIBLE INTRODUCTION TO FREEMASONRY, 15 Jun 2007
John Hamill's book is the best possible introduction to Freemasonry that one could hope to read: it boasts of academic rigor and no-nonsense factual information unlike many other books on the subject that one can encounter in most bookshops today full of fanciful and perhaps unreliable information. Freemasonry is a very serious matter and Hamill treats it with reverence providing the reader with a comprehensive story of the Craft in England and an explanation of the many different orders associated to Freemasonry.
