This review is from: Against the Terrans: the Spell Sword (Daw Science Fiction Darkover S.) (Mass Market Paperback)
One of the first Terrans on Darkover crashes into the deadly Hellars, and is directed to safety by a captured telepath. The book follows up some of the main themes of the Darkover series, namely how the Terrans/Darkovans cope with culture shock - especially when its discovered that Terrans can have the Comyn's (ruling caste) precious laran (telepathic gift). A wondrerful matrix battle ensues, but the book only really fills in the background for the following book, The Forbidden Tower.
