I can't tell you how useful this book is. It has everything from detailed fault code analysis to step by step instructions of everything you would ever require to do.

If you are interested in doing more than changing the oil then this is the book for you - otherwise buy the Haynes manual.

[The price] is steep? I agree, but it has paid for itself ten times over. This book is used buy my local audi garage when they need info on other customers cars - it is that good.

Buy it!

A must have book if you own and service your own Audi. Contains fab info which you will not get anywhere else - possibly better than the info at your local Audi dealership! Things like cruise control and Air con explained (unlike Haynes) with step by step drawings. Completely US model baised - so beware. That said the majority of information can be transposed to the UK cars if required. It is expensive but worthwhile, I would recommend it. AMC

I only have the mechanicals book (no engine or electrics). Very useful supplement to Haynes. Lots of detailed exploded diagrams. Many excellent disassembly procedures with detailed drawings/pictures. Some diagnostic info. Very heavily US biased - no mention of any UK variations. Doesn't give any alternatives to using Audi specialist tools (unlike Haynes which says things like "thousands have removed X by bending Y and lived"). An expensive book, but if you do your own maintenance, it could pay for itself the first time you use it. I find it invaluable for things like suspension work, coolant system etc.
