If your into Jeeps then you will like this book. However it is focused mainly on the US. So if your looking for information on the UK side of Jeeping then you will be disappointed.

The first section covers the history of the Jeep and moves on to cover the emergence of the rest of the Jeep range.

It also has a big section on repair and maintenance. This is ok but it mainly focuses on the Wrangler models rather than the Cherokee or Grand Cherokee.

An entertaining book and a must have if you like Jeeps.

Overall, an excellent book. The history is clear and concise, the tips are practical, and the technical information is useful and well-laid out. Even an experienced Jeeper will get a lot out of this book.

However... because the book is about all Jeeps, it doesn't really go into enough detail about any. There are also missing elements. For example, there's no real stats on any Jeeps, therefore you can't compare, say, ramp-over angles on a TJ versus a CJ-5 (should you want to.)

For a novice Jeeper this book is a must, but look on it as the start of your Jeep book collection. For the more experienced among us, this book may not offer much new information, but it is very well put together, and can tell us a lot about the Jeeps we don't own.

This book is by far the most comprehensive Jeep Book available. It has already become a legend, and soon, it will include some chapters for the TJ's and late model YJ's. This is a book I would buy over and over as models are added. This would be my choice for a subscription book! Just send a new copy every time its updated!

This book is a must for the Jeep owner. Moses Ludel gives the Jeep owner a wealth of info about jeeps, from the history of the vehicle to how to buy and maintain a Jeep.
