Essential for anyone working on Fanuc CNC machines, 20 Sep 2005

This is the only comprehensive guide to CNC programming I've come across, and I refer to it most weeks, if not days. Instead of wading through a badly-translated-from-the-Japanese manual that came with the machine, I have all the info I need in one place, complete with warnings about the 'gotcha's that can catch you out, the indiosyncratic variations between controls, and checklist summaries so I can be sure I've missed nothing out.

This book is ideal for the beginner at CNC programming, and still incredibly useful for those 'what exactly does a G28 do again?' moments for the more experienced. It's also my main point of reference when training up our operators - too often you remeber the 'how' but forget the 'why' of doing things a particular way, and this book really helps answer some of the more random questions I'm asked!

The only (pathetically) minor point would be it would be nice to see a mention of other CNC controls like Mazatrol or Siemens to highlight the differences in their use.
