About the Author

Dr Brian White was formerly Director of Doctoral Programmes at the Lincoln School of Management in the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside, where he developed the University's first taught doctorate programme (DBA). He also managed the PhD programme. Previously he was Head of the Skills Department there. He has taught in Germany, Holland, Spain, Bulgaria, Israel and UAE. His publications include "Dissertation Skills for Business and Management Students" (Cassell/Continuum).

The price almost put me off but I'm glad it didn't - I followed the advice and got a distinction.

The book goes through chapter by chapter the sorts of things to think about/ Look out for and is really useful at the beginning stages when you can't quite decide what topic to pick.

Definately worth a read

Based on earlier recommendation I got this book - am starting my dissertation and this book helps a lot. I have written a dissertation before but writing a business and management dissertation is very different from my previous legal dissertation. I only hope it will guide me to another distinction- so far 4 stars !
