The thing that makes this book stand out is that it is not primarily about C++, but only uses it to illustrate the concepts of object orientation. It is not a textbook to learn C++ from, but is an excellent introduction to OOP that is just as relevant to languages other than C++. Very suitable for the beginner to OOP, but needs an additional reference book alongside it.

clearly presented progression of c++ principals illustrating the fundemantals of object oriented programming. useful as a guide for beginner programmers and an excellent introduction to data structures covers abstract data types and how to build classes
