The book stands alone as a unique resource. However, there may be added value from following up its links to the chapters and discussions contained in the Reflective Teaching handbook.
The collection represents the work of several generations of educators and researchers - though, even with 120 readings, it has not been possible to include all the excellent material that is available. In a sense though, the book remains a collective product and I would like to pay tribute to the many colleagues who remain obsessed enough to keep on trying to describe, analyse and understand education in so many diverse ways.They are: Janet Collins (Open University), Neil Simco (St Martin’s College, Ambleside), Jo Warin (University of Lancaster) Sue Swaffield and Paul Warwick (University of Cambridge).
