If you want to know about the purpose and passion in music, check this book out. Reading Ramiro Burr's book Tejano and Regional Mexican Music is like a fascintaing journey into the multi-cultural world that appeals to many ages. Burr conveys the exitemnt and the joy of music and musicians who made us dance, sing, and cry, artists such as Texas Tornados, Little Joe, Los Lobos, Sonny Ozuna, Los Alegres de Teran, Pedro Infante, and Agustin Lara. this is engaging, and alluring history, written in an easy but compelling style. Chronicles a very important part of our culture that has long been neglected.

This book is just incredible. We've waited so long for a book like this for our music and finally have it. Ramiro is one great writer, he did an awesome job with the detailed history of Tejano music and the biographies are so interesting. It's so cool to know the history of some of my favorite singers and groups. I couldn't put the book down, it's a must have.

Burr cuts right through the B/S and inflated egos to give us a crystal clear insight to this wonderful musical genre. From Little Joe and the Latineers to the Latin Breed this work is a masterpiece. I have personally spent many, many hours with Burr and realize how much effort went into this book. The music industry and music fans owe Burr much gratitude.
