Starting with faces, and detailing the pitfalls of comic book art, this book guides the prospective comic artist through the steps needed to produce the desired result.

Christopher Hart is pretty blunt about what goes wrong with new artists, and provide very good guidance with respect the anatomical requirement of the genre. In particular, his comparison, with diagrams, of the difference between male and female skeletal structure, and the effect this has on the finished product, is very relevant, as well as the illustrations of muscle culture put into the context of female superheros excercising in the gym.

This is a great reference work, for the type, I could have done with examples of rather less well endowed ladies, but the as Mr Hart says, it's not a book abut normal/real people.

It's very amusing in it's own right, and the sort of thing to leave on the coffe table, and peer round the corner to see if the vicar has picked it up, or is merelt breaking into a sweat, (or looking down his nose at).

Above all, a good reference work.
