5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent throughout accurate, friendly and inspiring., 23 Jan 2002
By A Customer
This book is a must for anyone interested in using liquid emulsion. In addition to being very practical and easy to read it also manages to be inspiring - showing great real life examples of how the material has been used. I've printed on ceramics, cloth and different papers and found the book really helped with preparing each project. Reading it I could visualise everything first and picture what I'd need, what problems I might encounter and how best to avoid them. The troubleshooting section is invaluable in the darkroom, too. Silver Gelatin is excellent throughout - accurate, friendly and inspiring.

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely one of the best books on the subject!, 23 Oct 1998
By A Customer
This book is made for those, like me, who think a photograph doesn't have to be a flat piece of paper. it shows you how to customise your materials, use different objects, and it gives you the guide lines to use your imagination and produce wonderful works of art. it is also filled with marvelous images that made me feel really jealous!! this book has helped me develop my skills and put "to paper" what I had in mind for quite some time!!
