A cruising guide to the navigable waters of New Jersey.
This is the only book devoted exclusively to the over 400 miles of navigable waters of New Jersey. Starting at the New York/New Jersey state line on the Hudson River, we travel south into New York Harbor, and look at the other waterways branching off into New Jersey. We examine the routes east and west of Staten Island, Raritan and Sandy Hook Bays, and the east coast of New Jersey, both offshore and intracoastal. The trip continues up Delaware Bay, and the Delaware River to the head of navigation at Trenton. All along the way we look at the maritime history of the region, marinas and restaurants, weather and navigation. The book contains over 115 photographs and nautical charts.
