Product Description

Product Description
This classic text surveys a number of different theoretical approaches to the related phenomena of attitude and belief change. These theories are grouped into seven major approaches, each presented and evaluated in a separate chapter. Each contributes in an important way to a complete understanding of the persuasion process. 4.0 out of 5 stars a major study that collates marketers understanding of customers and how they think, 8 Jul 2009
By Angus Jenkinson "angusjenkinson" (Cambridgeshire, England) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
this is one of the classic landmark texts in the history of marketing. It is being extremely influential in the document is the most important thinking about customer attitudes and the psychological models that have been used by marketers to understand them. It is academic level but relevant to marketers with an interest in the history of marketing thought, and in particular the most influential paradigms that dominated thinking for 20 or more years. as such, it is a quick way to get an excellent review of the former state-of-the-art, and one that still dominates much practice. At the same time, it is important to say that new thinking and understanding has modified, discredited or limited the role of much of this theory.
