Product Description

If you were beginning to believe that "lone nut" Lee Harvey Oswald did kill President Kennedy all by himself, this could be the book to convince you, that there was indeed a conspiracy and a cover-up. The contributors worked independently at first, and were drawn together by a shared outrage at statements on the assassination made in the "Journal of the American Medical Association" in 1992. They explain their evidence and reasoning in easily understandable language, and present insights on the physical evidence, the autopsy findings, the bullet trajectories, the interpretation of numerous eye-witness accounts, and the misleading logic of the official lone nut theorists. Among their conclusions are: crucial autopsy x-rays of JFK's skull have been fabricated; the official "magic bullet" theory is anatomically and ballistically impossible; autopsy pictures of the brain alleged to be JFK's are of someone else's brain; Kennedy was hit at least four times, and a minimum of six bullets were fired in Dealey Plaza that day; and new evidence indicates the Warren Commission inquiry was a political charade based on selected and manufactured evidence.

4.0 out of 5 stars Eliminates any doubts that there was a conspiracy, 12 Jul 1998
By A Customer
James Fetzer's "Assassination Science" dissects the facts, theories, and possibilities surrounding the assassination of John F. Kennedy. No stone is left unturned as the author exhaustively sorts through the details of this important historical event.

It is hard to believe that some people still naively think that Oswald acted alone in committing this crime. The supporter's of the Warren Commission's final decision are often stubbornly loyal to the lone gunman theory. But one has to wonder about the motives of these individuals. For example, are the members of the American Medical Association who agree with the Warren Commission really that naive and ignorant, or are they involved in a cover up? Many WC loyalists are well - educated, intelligent people. So, the only conclusion that can be drawn is that some of these people (those in government, the AMA, etc) must surely be involved in a cover up. Fetzer's decision to resign from the AMA, given all of the dishonesty and secrecy attributed to this group of so- called professionals, was admirable.

One omission from this book that surprised me is the role of Jack Ruby, Oswald's assassin. Fetzer focuses his efforts on the conspiracy theory and the possibility of the involvement of more than one assassin. I agree that this is the most important part of the case, but what about Jack Ruby? I think his involvement in the conspiracy deserves some mention.

This book provides conclusive evidence that there was a conspiracy. There are simply too many unanswered questions, too many odd occurances, and too much suspicious behavior to think otherwise. I am convinced!

4.0 out of 5 stars A significant addition to the vast literature on the case., 17 Mar 1998
By A Customer
ASSASSINATION SCIENCE is an important addition to the literature on the JFK assassination. Fetzer has compiled a series of essays, reproductions of documents, and photographs that add significant new insight into the case. The book makes no attempt to present both the lone assassin and conspiracy points of view. Rather, Fetzer clearly believes that the assassination resulted from a conspiracy. Indeed, the thesis of the book is that through the use of modern scientific analysis of the audio-visual and medical evidence in the case, conclusive proof is offered of at least two gunmen firing at President Kennedy. By using such authorities as Drs. David Mantik, Charles Crenshaw, and Robert Livingston, Fetzer makes a very strong case for conspiracy. Mantik's dissection of the establishment line that the JFK autopsy x-rays prove only one assassin, and Livingston's analysis of the medical evidence are among the book's strong points. Perhaps the weakest section of the book is Fetzer's contention that the famous Zapruder film was altered. If so, then he and the authors who contribute to this section of the book fail to explain how virtually anything that we know of the assassination is valid. This fault notwithstanding, ASSASSINATION SCIENCE is highly recommended reading for anyone interested in learning more about the official cover-up of the truth about the murder of a President of the United States.

4.0 out of 5 stars 16 bad reviews from one person make a good recommendation..., 11 Jun 1999
By A Customer
I am reading Richard Belzers book, UFOs, JFK and ELVIS. This book is mentioned several times in it. I was checking it out and noticed that some anonymous person was so interested in giving it a low rating that they sent 16 one star reviews (the style, word choice and content are too much the same for it to be 16 different persons -- not to mention the failure to use a real email address). Soooo, I decided that if someone was that interested in making sure it got a low rating, it would be worth reading -- I am ordering it today..
