3.0 out of 5 stars Just fighting, really, 4 Mar 2007
Nothing very subtle about this one. Wizard from technologically-advanced society tries to nudge a mediaeval society on another planet towards democracy, basically by war. Female characters are non-existent or ciphers. Lots of descriptions of battles and fights. No real tension as the wizard just pulls something out of his magic or an invention from his own world. I found it dull.
