5.0 out of 5 stars Images gives the edge to the designs, 15 Mar 2001
By A Customer
Throughout the book it shows various of designers from David carson to Gail Swanlund which features their images and information about themself. Plus it has interviews with the forty individuals and firms that exemplify the radical agenda in graphic design. The thought about this book is that it gives inspiration to others in what graphic is all about encourage youself to involve with the everyday images throughout the world.

4.0 out of 5 stars great graphics, 11 Feb 2004
finally a graphics book that lives up to its name... i own quite a few and must say usually it is the same old stuff, but with radical graphics there is a plot. Harper takes you through a journey of different designers and exhibits their work in a well ordered and neutral fashion. there is also a healthy balance between text and image... if you buy graphic books for inspiration or ideas purposes, then this will be your cup of tea...

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, 29 May 2002
By A Customer
As someone new to graphic design, I found that so many of the people featured in this book were familiar to me. They are radical because they cross boundries, mixing up diciplines. Although they are all important graphic designers, they are also known as experts in other fields. A facinating view of modern graphics. Lovely commentry, and what a great book design - as an object it grabs you. Great to flick through as a refrence, and a tool to put things in a greater context.
