4.0 out of 5 stars Nice art., 7 Jan 2004
By A Customer
Mcquarrie's work is great, it's nice to see the evolution of the production artwork and the final film scenes. And in response to the ranting fellow in the other review, Bryce 3d is a landscape generator... pure and simple, no professional digital artists use it. Every single image I've seen done by a Bryce 3d user has been terrible and in no way compares to anything done by McQuarrie or any other 'real' artist. And just to put down the common myth that digital art is 'created by the computer'... i'm an artist in the computer games industry and myself and every single other artist I work with is a traditional artist fully capable of drawing with traditional tools. Every blade of grass or eyelash is created by a human.

1.0 out of 5 stars This is NOT a book, 12 Aug 2009

Looks like a book but it isn't, don't be fooled.
What you get is a pamphlet, some postcards and a sachet of stamps inside a hardback box.
This is not the book you are looking for, it's a con.

Try instead The Universe of Star Wars by Ralph McQ and Kevin J Anderson.
Nice big plates, a ton of McQ art and some remarkable text by KJA, it's immeasurably better.

Now that Everyone can make Star Wars Graphics using computer software such as Bryce 3d, Its nice to know that someone is out there with REAL talent in conceptualising imaginary worlds and has the great gift of bringing it to life.....LA LALAL LALALALALA
