I bought this book several years ago and, with the exception of what was the to me seminal 'Times Book of Bread' (presumably now out of print), this is the best collection of bread recipes I possess. I spent most of one winter trying a new recipe each weekend, and have come back to some of them many times. OK, so you'll have to be familiar with American measuring methods, but how hard is it to get hold of a set of measuring cups? Bread baking virgins may need more detailed instructions than this book provides but, once you know what you're doing, this book is the bee's bum.
