If you are looking for the definitive pictorial guide to the great man and his work, then look no further than this amazing book. Literally crammed with pictures I have never seen before (and I am a massive Lucas fan) and extremely well written, this book will be the jewel in the crown of any GL fan, beautifully presented, it follows the entire life of GL and his career from his early racing days to early college film-making days, from THX-1138 to Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.

tv stand arrived a couple of weeks ago but supporting rod threads were all damaged - have been waiting ever since for replacement rods

This book looks fantastic - it's absolutely huge, with wonderful and rare pictures which really give an insight into the life of George Lucas - check out the picture of GL's car wrapped around a tree as reported in his local paper following his accident as a teenager. Most people who buy this book are going to be Star Wars fans (like me) and will probably flick to the latter chapters which cover these films (approx half the book plus). However, I resisted and read it from start to finish. It is well written, and covers in depth Lucas' other films - American Grafitti and THX-1138, as well as Indiana Jones and other films he exec produced. Probably not a book for reading in bed as your wrists will likely snap off however! Whole-heartedly recommended.
