I have read most of the books on the Jesus in film and this is the most comprehensive and academically useful, as well as being a good read. Each film is given a full and comprehensive treatment looking through three 'lenses' or points of view. Both the technical film language and the theological treatise are of the highest standard. I would recommend this book to anyone, from someone with a personal interest in the subject matter to theologians wanting to peruse academic research in this field.
