4.0 out of 5 stars The missing-link in Ashtanga books has been found!, 17 Mar 2004
A flow-guide is really the only reason to buy an ashtanga book ...thankfully one is now available!

I have been practicing yoga for years and as anyone who has ever done ashtanga can testify, a teacher/class situation is invaluable at the beginning (if not indefinately), but in order to learn the posture sequence you really need great diagrams and more detailed explanation than any one class can give.
This book is reasonably priced and answers all my needs.
