Product Description

From energy efficiency and appearance to technical considerations and building codes, this workbook should help you construct exactly the type of window that you want. There is valuable advice from an expert builder and writer on locating windows (including privacy and security concerns); different types, from casement and awning to tilt and jalouise window; energy ratings; glazing; installing windows in new construction; replacing old and storm windows; and sun shielding - even solar-control window films. 1.0 out of 5 stars All American!, 1 Jun 2009
By N. Cooper - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I'm afraid to say this is yet another all American book which bears little relevance to the UK market. I also wanted a book which would show me HOW to build windows as suggested in the title (Building Basics)- for me a vaguely interesting read but practically of no use whatsoever.
