A very good book indeed, as a newcomer to Taekwondo I found it very helpfull indeed, the pictures and text are very clear and easy to follow. Cover basic basic techniques, including stretching, punching, kicking, stances and blocks along with some good strategies and training tips. All in all a great book for a newcomer.

The book is well thought out and well written. The information included is clear, concise and of benefit to any student of Taekwondo.

Describing basic techniques and gym workout advice, the book shows itself to be concerned with the overall development of the artist and not just with showing the reader how to kick.

My one complaint with the book and the reason for not giving it full marks is that the techniques are basic and no attempt has been made to describe the actual application of the techniques.

All in all the book is a valuable addition to any collection, but the lack of applications leaves much to the imagination.
