My wood-shop teacher at college recommended this book to me. He said it's the only book on table saws he has needed since he bought it. It provides a wealth of information covering all aspects of the topic from planning, through purchasing to projects to improve yours skills and knowledge of the machine itself.

This revised edition came out thirteen years after the original and was a welcome update. Filed though out with relevant illustration it provides a full and comprehensive guide to a most useful piece of machinery. I have read it from cover to cover but practical use of the book provides ways to discover information not directly imparted through the text. It's a bit like having a master teacher at hand twenty-four hours a day.

Anyone who uses a table saw should read this book.

Although this is a good book for technique it is let down badly by its quality of the photographs used. The photographs (of which there are many) are so badly lit and out of focus one can hardly make out any detail. It just spoils a good book. If I had prior inspection of the book I would not have bought it. It forces me to look at other books on table saws. Before you buy, see what else is available.
