5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best Penguin references, 5 Mar 2002
This book is written in a pleasant, readable style and yet offers a thoroughly comprehensive and well-researched narrative of (almost) all the species.

There are even some good photos in there.

I have a number of penguin-related books, and this is the first I reach for when trying to check some fact or other.

Highly recommended.
