I was thrilled when this book came through my letter-box. The book is clearly seperated into eight categories which capture the essence of the violence within the films being refered to. This book does not simply convey plot lines but rather useful information regarding how titles came about, quotes from the directors about the meaning of the films and experiences from the actors point of view.

All in all Bouzereau has successfully collated numerous films, from known and unknown directors, and explores the reasons for violence within them. He has integrated pictures throughout and combined with academic comments on the films, has ensured this book has something to offer everyone.

A great read, a must own.
