5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Introduction to Hsing Yi Chuan, 25 April 2001
By Mr. C. J. MacKenzie "www.laugar.org.uk" (London, United Kingdom) - See all my reviews

For such a small cover price, I found this book to be a good solid introduction to this rather mystical art. It contains clear consise text, with sharp photos and a very interesting introductory & theory section. A first class book. Well worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars clear instruction, 25 May 2004
By A Customer
this book provides reasonably clear instruction through photos and text. it contains the patterns for the 5 fists, which are basic techniques. it contains the patterns for the 12 animals of hsing-i, which are very brief forms. there are no examples of application of techniques. the general history and introduction is very thorough.
