Sexy, Funny and well worth a second and a third read, 10 Oct 2002
Cherry Adair just gets better. If you've read her other books and enjoyed them, you'll love this one. Micheal Wright, eldest of the 4 brothers, an ex-Navy SEAL has come to Paradise Island to get revenge on the man who killed his best friend and near ruined his own life. When he saves his arch-enemy's daughter initially he seeks to use her for his own ends, but that soon changes. I really enjoyed the heroine, Tally - she's normal, not a martial arts expert, but nor is she some fainting, die-away female. She stands up for herself and rolls with the punches (literally at times), dealing with everything that's thrown at her with a quick wit and humour. This book made me laugh almost as much as some scenes made me blush (as the other reviewer said, the scene with the pearls is certainly ... different). If you want a read that's got all the usual Cherry Adair action and romance, with just that touch of wry humour, then go out and get this, you won't regret it!

A Sexy Read, 20 Sep 2002
Okay, I'll start off by saying I'm a huge fan of Cherry Adair and this book was a real treat. Ex-Navy SEAL Michael Wright is out looking for revenge against the man who ended his career and is responsible for killing his best friend Hugo and then he meets Tallie Cruise, the daughter of the villain and decides to use her in his plans for vengence but of course when the two meet sparks fly. Michael finds out that Tally isn't at all close with her father and when threats on her life begin, he ends up being her rescuer. Michael is extremely sexy and the scene with him and Tally and her set of pearls nearly made me blush!! Tally is a great heroine, she's sassy and thankfully not built like a barbie doll. Cherry has gifted her with a great wit and dept of charachter. I'd completely recommend this book and by the sounds of it, Kane Wrights story is coming next. So if your looking for a hot story with action and intrigue, buy this.

Do Not Miss This Book, 26 April 2007
This is another scorching romance/adventure read from the wonderful Cherry Adair. Michael Wright, a former Navy SEAL, was badly injured while trying to bring down a terrorist a year before this story begins. He is now back on Paradise Island to finish the job he started. No longer a SEAL due to the loss of one eye, he is on the island unofficially. His plan - to kill the man who injured him and murdered his partner Hugo.
Tally Cruise is a normal woman who has come to the island following an invitation from her estranged father who she has seen only a handful of times during her life. She is both excited and nervous to see this man and very surprised that he reached out to her on this occasion at all.
Michael and Tally fall together when Michael saves her following an accident and it soon becomes apparent that the man Michael is after is Tally's father. He quickly hatches a plan to use her to get to him - at least that's how it starts. If he can seduce her before her father arrives on the island, the final insult will be that she chooses Michael over her father. Michael wastes no time in the seduction.
Tally is an easy person to relate to. She is not your average heroine, just a plain ordinary woman who wants to be acknowledged and loved by her father. During the story she shows fear and courage, love and hate and generally is an optomist who gets on with whatever life throws at her.
Adair's writing certainly made me understand how Tally could fall for the charms of Michael - the tall, tanned and toned man with rugged good looks and mischief in his eye.
The way the story unfolds had me not wanting to put the book down and it is liberally mixed with some very hot romance, which leaves little to the reader's imagination. I throughly enjoyed this story and will definitely be back for more.
