There are so many childrens books out there now that are frankly dull and unimaginative - how can it be of interest to a child that someone walks down the street and trips over a pebble but is okay in the end The End. Just because they are children, it doesn't mean they can't enjoy a decent story and this is a really, really decent one that is fun to read, beautifully illustrated and just a great story that the kids will love joining in with you. There is also a sequal called 'The Gruffalo Child' which is definately worth getting if your children like this one. This is great for boys or girls and is probably the best modern day childrens book out there for 4-6 year olds. It is an apsolute must have!
