Product Description

Product Description

This engaging, user friendly text guides occupational practitioners and students toward creatively designing and implementing occupation-based interventions for people with disabilities. The book covers the three primary proficiencies: understanding occupation in context, developing design skills, and applying occupation in practice. This innovative approach focuses on the interactive process of designing client centred interventions, building a bridge between occupational science and its application in occupational therapy.

5.0 out of 5 stars At last a book written by a friendly OT!!, 23 Oct 2006

(REAL NAME)
I haven't read all the way through this yet, but it truly is user friendly and talks about being in occupational therapy with a warm, human passion which really presses buttons. It is refreshing to read a book in the first person for a change, as unfortunately due to the very nature of other text books come across as cold and factual. This however is comfortable and fun to read. I think it will become very popular with OTs and associate workers.

1.0 out of 5 stars occupation by design, 28 Nov 2008
By kazzi (lancs) - See all my reviews
A friend of mine from university bought this book a couple of weeks ago and there are sections missing that are in the index.
As we have all been waiting for this book for weeks we were pleased when it became available.

Just be aware of missing information
