I bought this book to share with my reception class. Our topic theme was 'apples' for harvest. The children really enjoyed the story especially when the little apple goat 'Plippety pip' spat the pips and stones over the hedge after eating the fruit from the orchard. I was able to link a wide range of activities such as retelling the story, planting pips, counting apples and pears, making a fruit crumble... and the list goes on. The illustrations are lovely as they are bold and bright. I would really recommend this book to all ages.
