4.0 out of 5 stars Unique, 12 April 2006
By Paulo Agostinho (Portugal) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Lobo Antunes is a portuguese writer with a unique style. Some critics compare him to Faulkner, but he has developed his own style. This book is one of his first works, easier than the more recent and complex works. However, this book maybe a little difficult to understand totally if you're not familiar with portuguese history or portuguese historic characters. Anyway, it's worth a try. Or you can try another Lobo Antunes' work. For me, he is the greatest portuguese writer alive, a million miles above Saramago.
