(REAL NAME)
I bought this one for a class about US Foreign policy and I am definitely satisfied with Arts contribution to the debate. Art has a vision for the future in regards to US foreign policy and military engagement in the world.
The book is nicely written and it is very easy to read.
First he gives a clear overview of the state and the challenges of the world today. Then he moves on to Americas National interest and divide then into vital, highly important and important interests. Later still, he explains the strategies that could be chosen and what the advantages and disadvantages are. Finally he comes to the conclussion, that the best strategy would be selective engagement, which comes as no surprise.
Arts book is very good for all scholars who want to see the big picture and try to see the world strategies in larger scales.
