3.0 out of 5 stars Theology not history, 18 Jul 1999
By A Customer
Moltman is respected as a theologian but a much better book on the history of the Trinity is available in the UK (and from Amazon.co.uk) "Triads and Trinity" J. Gwyn Griffiths, Our Price: £45.00 Hardcover - 388 pages (July 1996) University of Wales Press; ISBN: 0708312810 Synopsis: "This study explores the questions surrounding the origin of the Christian doctrine of the Trinity. In particular, it argues that the Trinity was shaped by ideas prevalent in Graeco-Egyptian thought".

Unless theology is to be divorced from history the UK book is also worth purchasing.
