A complete book for a good overview of the Bearded Collie, 11 Dec 2001
By A Customer
It covers the history and origin of the beardies in North America but also includes the standard breed characteristics as considered in America, England, Canada and at an international level.Helps you find the beardie that better suits you by describing both male and female and also pup and adult. There's also a guide on convivence with your beardie covering all the aspects of housebreaking, convivence with other animals, grooming, feeding, training and health issues.I'd like to remark the high qualty of the pictures spread all across the book because they certainly look like real photos and give a good impression on what sharing your life with a beardie is like, it's also the first book I came across that showed a real piture of the Microchip.Carol has really done a great job with this book and cared for a proper presentation to bring the beardie close to you. If you haven't choosen your beardie, please get books before you do and find out if that is the right breed for you.Beardies need lots of attention and care and despite having a cuddly toy look, THEY ARE NOT A TOY!! Never consider getting it as a surprise present for someone you love, even if just to please your children, there's already too many dogs abandoned already and too many of them tortured every day. Always remember,A DOG IS NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS.
