We bought this book to find out if the wire fox terrier is the dog for us.

The book itself is of great quality with over 70 lovely glossy colour photos. The book is written from an american perpsective and goes into quite a lot of detail on the American Kennel Club, american dogs and american breeders. This can get a bit annoying mid way through the book.

After the breed history and standard is dealt with I felt the book ran out of steam and was a little short on practical information. Yes puppies, grooming and caring for your wire are all covered but not in great enough depth.

A good introduction for anyone new to the breed, the photo's are fantastic but I ended feeling a little disapointed and was left wanting more.

Emily (15 months) also thinks the pictures are great with a "woof woof" on every page.

A beautifully illustrated colour book with over 75 photo's.
Written by an American author, goes into alot of information about the history and breed standards.
Covers Puppies,grooming,feeding (although very American with referances to American brand names)and training.
Although this book is beautiful I felt it ended too soon, it could have easily been twice as long. Too much detail given on breeders and Kennel Club members not enough pratical info on looking after your Fox Terrier.
