This book is one of the best books on ecommerce I have read . It is full of practical and down to earth advice about setting up a website that sells . I have had a website for a couple of years and I have learned the hard way about the pitfalls of ecommerce. This book would definitely have saved me time and money if I had read it before starting . The chapter " Tips about building an effective online store" is the most important and valuable part of the book with a lot of useful advice . I would recommend this book to anyone setting up a commercial website.

This is one of the best books I've read on setting up an Internet Store, and I've read a few.

It's worth buying just for the section on selecting the right e-commerce software package, in Chapter 2.

The tips for building an effective online store in Chapter 3, are also worth the price of the book alone.

Also consider getting E-Commerce Logistics & Fulfillment: Delivering the Goods by Deborah Bayles. If you're involved with a website that sells physical goods, then this is a very useful book.

Also look at E-Service: 24 Ways to Keep Your Customers-When the Competition Is Just a Click Away by Ron Zemke. Anything by Zemke is good, but this one is particularly relevant for e-commerce.
