2.0 out of 5 stars Should be renamed XML from scratch, 23 Jul 2001
By A Customer
I Bought this book on the understanding that is for learning both XML and java from scratch, but while the XML side of things is hectic but understandable, the java side of it disappears off over the horizon all too quickly leaving me behind with too much content and not enough explanation. The other downfall is that the book takes you through designing a website, getting progressively more complex as it goes which is a great idea, however unfortunately on chapter 4 the scripts supplied in the book do not appear to work leaving you unable to follow the excercises for the rest of the book, which is a distinct disadvantage for chapters 5 through to 9.
