having tried to get Photoshop to do what i wanted i was amazed to find out just how much i was missing. this book shows you in simple coulor pictures how to do everything

I thought this book was excellent. It has a great, colourful, clear layout style that is very easy to follow. It offers informative tutorials that will appeal to first time users and experienced photoshop users alike. I looked a several of the photoshop books available and this is by far the best on the market (including the Adobe manual itself!). Thoroughly recommended.

After searching the endless void of the web and seeing many interesting, coloufull web art, it made me wonder how the designers made their graphics for their site. And most (if not all) had the same reply, 'photoshop'. So i decided to get on the bandwagon and buy a book and have a go at learning it. I bought this book, and to be honest it doesnt teach you as much as you would learn just messing around with the program for 10 minutes. It is however, asthetically pleasing, and well laid out, but I didnt feel any acomplishment after following the tasks. I would have prefered it if it set out giving you a fancy graphic or picture, then telling you how they did it in steps, with detailed explanations. Instead it was task 1, click new, choose your pallete size, the end. Then task 2 was moving an image, which didnt help with progressive learning styles that other books offer. This is the first book I bought on photoshop, and I dont know what the other books are like, this could be the best? this could be the worst? but it didnt do it for me, so I think i'll be digging deeper into my wallet and buying another.
