5.0 out of 5 stars Hands-on stuff - go on -get 'em dirty, 17 Feb 2002
By P. A. Murphy (London, U.K.) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought this book to help me revise my HTML. I am an experienced HTML hack. Due to injury, I was out of work for two years. I wanted a book that would help me revise and do lots of development while doing so. I didn't want just dry reading. This book fits the bill well. Learn by doing it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book - Don't pass it on!, 24 Aug 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: HTML by Example (Paperback)
I found this to be a great book. I only knew HTML from looking at the page source with my browser. With the help of this book, I built a web page that got great reviews...even from fellow designers!

This is not the kind of book you read cover to cover. You can pick and choose what you need/want to get the effects you are looking for.

When HTML 4.0 became the 'standard,' I passed this book on to a friend. DON'T MAKE THAT ERROR! This book is a great reference. I am now purchasing it again...and this one will not be given away.
