I found that this book was very good. although at the start it had some very boring chapters, that might have stopped you from finishing the book,you were advised to skip some of these chapters and get on to learn about more exciting things.It also has a brilliant index which makes it a brilliant reference book.

A wonderful book, I surprised myself by reading it from end to end and enjoying the process -- something never known with a computer manual before! The explanations are clear, logical, simple and perfectly progressive so that someone who does not know anything about HTML can understand the logic with ease. I have given the book to departmental secretaries with a little knowledge of HTML and they have agreed. My only slight reservations are that there could be more on tables and on frames. The other matters are all dealt with so well that anyone should be able to use this book as a primer for site authoring. The glossary of terms and codes is also very useful.
