Product Description

Book Description

Netrepreneur- The Dimensions of Transferring Your Business Model to the Internet is a strategic planning, business solution book. It offers a holistic view of Internet business relevant topics. It will be marketed as the Internet focused equivalent to The Portable MBA published by Wiley and Internet Business books published by Harvard Business School Press. Using the Internet for Business is treated like a business book with legitimate case studies and resource listings /cites but addresses Internet related questions such as why the Internet is good for business? Can your business be made more efficient through the use of the Internet? Which traditional business models transfer well to online practice? Would being on the Internet make your customer service more efficient? How do you project costs of doing business on the Internet? How do you build partnerships with remote organizations? This approach serves as a useful tool for the reader to analyze successes and failures in todays global, deadline and profit oriented business market. This model is further reinforced with reviews and quotes from industry leaders.

Every day businesses are taken online. Actual case studies of many well-known companies offer rich key insight into how they have set up shop on the Internet and how they have managed themselves. Increased sales revenue, shifts in marketing strategies, Website design options, and use of technology and business applications are among the many cutting-edge considerations discussed at length by the author that will contribute to very successful business operations.

With the use of this book any company will achieve favorable and easily measureable results. Although this book was not intended for use by novice entrepreneurs, I found it easy to read and understand. Just about anyone can pick it up and glean valuable business ideas from its pages regardless of their level of experience in the business world. This book would make a valuable guide for business consultants seeking to make a living by helping other companies along. This is a great book to have on hand and put to use at a moments' notice!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Overview Of Internet's Business Potential, 4 Jun 1999
By A Customer
The author does an excellent job of explaining the ways in which the Internet can be used to improve any function of a business, to include HR, Logistics Mgmt, and Sales. Though it doesn't delve too deeply into any single area, for the corporate manager it is an excellent introductory read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brings biz to the net and tells them why they need it!, 20 Nov 1998
By A Customer
Joe has done a fine job of showing, with concrete examples, why businesses must be on the net and how they can profit from it. He is right when he says that if your business is not on the Internet, your business is history. Being in competitive intelligence, I really liked his chapter on Managing Business Intelligence.

This book is a good tool for all, even senior managers who may never use the net, to realize why they need it. Joe talks to us in business terms that we can all understand.
