Much-heralded as an improvement over the Windows 95 and 3.1 releases, it offers a number of noticeable improvements in terms of desktop appearance, file management, hardware and software installation, and the inclusion of a top-notch Web browser. Joe Kraynak wrote The Big Basics Book of Windows 98 to provide computer users with in-depth coverage of this exciting new operating system!

Readers are taken on a guided tour on everything from configuring their desktops, installing programs and hardware, managing files, and using the new Outlook Express e-mail and Internet Explorer Web browser programs. Each topic of discussion is fully illustrated and adequately described. This book is loaded with quality grayscale screenshots of desktop displays, pull-down menus, and other features offered. Learning is a breeze!
