After having read this books chapters more than once, and having read Suns Swing Tutorial, I actually think this book contains some useful information. Although it can be a hard job actually extracting it. Agreed, some chapters needs to be read more than once, but once you get a little experience with JFC, it gets easier to read. But then again, there are probably other better books outhere on this subject.

It seems that there's a very clever idea with the architecture of JFC, and this book mentions so too. But it completely forgets explaining it when and where it is really important. A Document Model... bla. bla. bla. a little here, a little there... It simply doesn't give you the clear overview of JFC. It merely dives into some rather confusing and
