5.0 out of 5 stars A throughly great book for both mother and child, 5 Dec 2000
By kate_starling@lineone.net (Kent, England, Great Britain) - See all my reviews
Lizzie Vann's organic baby and toddler cookbook is a throughly great book for mother and child. It is full of interesting receipes from 4 months to toddler, it includes meal planners which are great for first time mum's!! To nutritional values of each meal so you know exactly what the most precious thing in your life is getting and the benefits of what your child is eating. The receipes are easy to follow, and preperation times are given, the book is well set out and explains how much to give to your child. I have used this book for my second child and it is like my bible, my daughter loves the meals I prepare for her, from breakfast right through to dinner! The meals can be prepared and frozen, the book explains how long the food can be frozen for or refrigerated, and this is great for working mums who need to freeze the food if time is of the essence. I give this book a five star rating and is a must for any new mum, starting to wean their child.

5.0 out of 5 stars Annabel Karmel's Strong Rival !, 3 Dec 2001
By A Customer
Fantastic book - great, easy recipes with lovely photos. The portion sizes are realistic and the recipes are very original. I must admit I was a little hestitant in trying some of them (such as Veg Korma and Fruity Chicken), but oddly enough my daughter adores those very ones !

I never thought I would end up using more recipes from here than Annabel Karmel's, but I have.

Also the recipes are featured in the Organix range of babyfoods which is nice if you want to test your baby on the jarred version before spending the time cooking your own.

Well done Ms Vann.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recipes that actually taste of something!, 19 Nov 2003
By A Customer
I love this book...the author is unafraid to make use of herbs and spices to actually make the meal taste of something. The recipes are easy to follow, and really easy to adapt if you're missing some of the ingredients. The book is fairly short but a great source of inspiration. Home-cooked, the recipes taste far better than their equivalents in jars.
