5.0 out of 5 stars user-friendly, mouth-watering guide to jam making & more!, 18 Aug 2001
By A Customer
Having never made jam or chutney or relish or herb oils etc before, I decided to visit the library to seek some advice and inspiration. I was fortunate to discover this wonderful book. I borrowed it three times and realised that it was about time that I bought a copy for myself! The book has beautiful, mouth-watering photographs to inspire you and step-by-step recipes that are a doddle to follow. There are numerous helpful hints and the recipes make you want to get into your kitchen and start cooking! For Christmas this year my family should expect edible gifts such as plum and walnut jam, cranberry and apple jelly, Bengal chutney and rosy raspberry vinegar.Scrumptious!

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is great!!, 31 Oct 2009

This book is such an inspiration for me as a jelly/jam/curd maker.

It has lots of easy to understand recipes and tips.

I got a copy out of the library a few years back, looked at amazon and bought it, gave it away and now bought another.. so I'm on my 3rd copy!!

The only slight problem for me is the recipes always talk about cups of sugar, I'd prefer in grammes or ounces.

Love the book!!!!!
