The book starts with a discussion of what a team is, and how it differs from a group of people who just happen to work together. Then some information on how to observe and evaluate a team's performance. Then a comprehensive section on how to facilitate these games: practical advice on how to run them, how to see problems building and how to deal with them, dealing with resistance from individuals, then how to interpret and evaluate the results, and how to use them to develop the team. The piece on facilitation styles is as good as anything I've had on a face to face facilitator's training course. There follows a table showing the skills each game is designed to teach, so that you can easily pick the most appropriate game for the occasion. All in all, a comprehensive and very practical book that will get dogeared in no time as you use it again and again. Not a book that will ever gather dust!
