Another Tales anthology, but a relatively good one., 16 April 2001

I am not a big fan of the anthologies of the Dragonlance saga, but I am a big fan of the series as a whole, and many important developments happen in these anthologies. The most important thing that happens in this book is 'The Raid on the Academy of Sorcery'. In this, the Academy of Sorcery is, rather unsurprisingly, raided. It tells the story of how Palin Majere is kidnapped by the Grey Knights, which is otherwise a little confusing in "Dragons of a Fallen Sun", when Palin suddenly becomes a really cynical character. An improvement in my opinion, but that's really for the aforementioned book. Other good stories include "Sargas's Night of Revenge" and "The Deep, Deep, Dark, Dark Place". I can't help but like anything with Gully Dwarves in, and the minotaur story was just plain good - a high accolade from me about short stories. Well written and a good idea. Overall, this is a fairly good anthology, but I don't like anthologies. It has stories relatively important or relevant to the current situations on Krynn, which makes for interesting reading.
